Sculptra®

Sculptra is an FDA-approved injectable treatment that stimulates the formation of collagen in the skin to improve facial volume and reduce wrinkles, with results lasting up to two years. Dr. Geerlings offers Sculptra® treatments in Newnan, GA. Reach out online or call our office to see if you are a good candidate for Sculptra®!

WHAT IS Sculptra®?

Sculptra® is a bioactive filler made of poly-L-Lactic Acid (PLLA), a synthetic molecule which when injected, stimulates the body’s own collagen production. The Sculptra® particles are eventually broken down by the body leaving a youthful rejuvenated appearance to the skin. The resulting collagen matrix should last about 2 years.

Sculptra® works deep within the skin and recruits fibroblasts to make new collagen, reinforcing the skin’s structure and improving its appearance.

WHAT DOES Sculptra® TREAT?

  • Wrinkles and folds in the face.
  • Loss of volume in the cheeks, temples, and chin.
  • Sagging skin around the jawline and chin.
  • Marionette lines (wrinkles at the corners of the mouth).
  • Smile lines or Nasolabial Folds (deep creases from the nose to the mouth).

WHAT ARE THE BENEFITS OF Sculptra®?

Sculptra® is unique because it uses the body’s own collagen, leading to

  • More natural-looking results compared to some other fillers.
  • Long-lasting results, lasting up to two years.
  • Improved skin quality—Sculptra® can improve skin radiance, tightness, and firmness.
